The Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme

The Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme gives assistance that will help cut down emissions from public sector properties. By 2037, a goal of minimising emissions by 75% has been arranged as compared to the benchmark established in 2017. This was set out during the 2021 Net Zero and Heat and Buildings approaches. This scheme can contain various applications including enhanced insulation, Solar and Commercial High Temperature Heat Pumps.

Both the Public Sector Low Carbon Skills Fund and the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme are available to public sector organisations in England and parts of reserved public services here all over the United Kingdom.

The Pure High Temperature Heat Pump ranges are the next generation of Heat Pumps, delivering up to 120C flow temperatures, they are perfect for both retrofit and new build purposes. High Temperatures minimise restrictions on applications and widen the scope to provide carbon and energy cost savings as outlined in The Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme.

At the time of writing this material (October 2022), the scheme’s Stage 3b application window is now open. The guidance notes, application form and application portal are offered on the Salix Finance website. Phase 3b will supply around £635 million of funding over the financial years 2023 to 2025.
